Client came by today with a monster set of DLS MS6A Component speakers he wanted to put in his Accord. After palying around with placement, it was obvious these badboys weren't going to fit normally.  Custom Pods it was!!!!
Jason had an extra set of speaker grill covers, so that made this easier knowing that he can go back to stock easily if needed.

First thing was first....remove old UBER small Bose speaker.....it was cute.

Mocked up the stock grill, cut out what I needed, then cut a ring to fit the pod....after some trimming here and there, she fit like a dream. Tacked that into place and she got some Duraglas love.  After that, i secured the pods from the backside, then stretched Grill Cloth over them and they recieved a final sealer coat of resin.  Grinded that down, threw some matching carpet over them like their neighbors to the sides of them...and BOOM goes the dynamite.

Tweeters were simple enough....cut giant hole in door, place awesome basketball-esque tweeter in it's place.

He wanted these re-wired and ran to the rear for his 4 channel amp, so I'm not sure what these will sound like...but I KNOW they'll pound better than that cute little 3" Bose thought was a good attempt at Sound Quality.

This was a fun little project....can't wait to do more on this.

Had a client come in with a Phoenix Gold Amp and a Alpine Type S Bandpass box he wanted thrown in his Accord.
He's already installed a PAC iPod adapter, so he didn't need a new deck installed.....so I simply installed a new PAC interface behind the stock deck to give me Audio Outs.....put the amp under the driver seat, which is covered nicely by the floor mat, and the sub is easily removable if trunk space is needed.

Thing pounds for a 4 channel amp.......which means the customer will be back to install a good front stage speaker system down the road.

Cheers!

Finished the box for the Honda and buttoned up the install.

Box hits nicely, amp is tucked away and stock radio now has Ipod and Aux inputs...cheers!

2007 Honda Accord in for iPod/Aux input addition as well as Amp/Sub Combo.

Got everything installed and good to go and went to put in the Radio Code (once you unplug the radio, it throws a security code) and there wasn't a code in the vehicle...so I have to wait until Tomorrow to finish up the install.

I'll have more pics but basically:

iPod and Aux inputs in the lower pocket
Amp on top of spare tire with quick disconnects for easy removal
Custom Subwoofer Box (in the making)

Cheers

Accord finally got some time to come back in and get it's new lights put on and wired up.

Made custom LED corner lights that are 'running lights'.....completely blacked out, no chrome left.

Also made custom LED turn signals, completely blacked out, with built in flasher relays.

Once everything was installed, customer had the 'itch' for more LEDs, so I swapped out his dome light with some of my new LED PCB boards...interior is nicely lit up now.

Cheers

Got everything looking as flat/stock as possible, pre-drilled holes and texture painted....ready for some LEDs then we'll be good to go.

Cheers

Finally got back on these little guys.
Had to fill the void between the reflector cutouts and the final mounting location for the LEDs...so I made a template from tape, transfered to cardboard, then to ABS....made all the final touches to the template, ground the edges down so they would except the duraglas filler and caked it on.....next is sanding..yeah!!!!!
Cheets!

Got these guys opened up and am ready to make a custom backplate for them, then smooth them out and paint....basically get them read for the LEDs....then I can seal them up and be on my way.

Started and almost finished some custom blinkers for an Accord today.
Had to cut the weld that the manufacturer made to piece the two parts of the lights together....basically, these things weren't coming apart using the conventional methods, and I was afraid that they may crack...so I cut them....no worries, though, they are sealed up now and wont be coming apart overtime.

Just have to clean up the lense a bit and make sure they are 100% waterproof.
Then I can get started on the custom side blinkers!

Cheers

Got the front and side lights for the Accord that I did a projector retrofit in the other week.  Now we're getting rid of the amber and chrome, murdering everything out, and replacing all the halogen bulbs with LEDs...should be pretty sweet!!

Still chuggin' away at the center console for the BrewHaul....got it all sealed up, now just working on getting it ready for paint!!

Should be getting Project Stang back in this week.  Going to be flush mounting some killer LED foglights and running some new side emitting LEDs in the grill!!

Cheers
