Owner didn't like the look of actually seeing the source of the light in the headlight bucket.
Problem.........

Answer........remove and replace with LEDs.....DUH!
Stock bulb is in there until owner replaces with a smaller, low profile bulb that is clear and not so huge.  Light perfectly fills headlight bucket, isn't too bright and is exactly what the owner was wanting.

These lights are only on when he pulls the 'light stick' out one click.....and they shut off when the headlights are turned on.  His turn signals are the little cones above the headlight bucket...so purely ICE lights....

Looked sick driving away at night.  Last pic is with lights on...camera made the others fairly brighter than they actually are.

On to the next one!!

Got the newly painted pods attached, mounted and wired up.
Also, temporarily mounted the new RetroSounds radio in the dash...I say temporarily, because the previous owner used a badger or beaver of some type to make the hole a bit wider and the new radio doesn't sit in flush like i should.....so the owner will be repainting everything within the next year, so once that's done, the hole will be of perfect size and it'll look even more stock than it does already.

Everything turned out great, owner is stoked and it sounds great......already have another set that needs to be made!

Cheers

Got the pods smoothed down and texture painted so they are ready for paint to match the existing wall in the bus....going to look sick in there.  Already have another Bus owner that wants a set....better get them up on Samba!

Installed pics of everything will be coming up soon.

Cheers

Finally getting to my buddies VW BUS...thing is sick, so I wanted to make the VW community like these pods.....AKA....know there are speakers there but don't make them too flashy.  The VW people, along with any other classic car owner, they don't want to damage the original factory panel.  We're doing these under the parcel shelf and above the headlight buckets.....we're also putting a sick RetroSound deck in the dash to keep the original look, but bring modern technology to the table.
Should have these paintable in the next couple of days.
Would have had them smoother but my air hose decided to blow up on me.....awesome.

Painter Ryan finally got his rear end all mocked up, welded, bolted and in....bolted the motor up, squeezed the tires under and pulled the rear axle jack stands for the first time in a few months.....here is what we have!!  Sick low stance, about 3" frame clearance, with a bit more to go...fully adjustable ride height.....and front still needs to be lowered....should be only a week or so before she's ready to hit the road!

Cheers!

Here is our painters bus....getting a custom trim job done on the suspension.
It's sitting on it's brake drums right now, but when it's all said and done, it will only be 3" higher than this.  We'll be redoing all the electrical work on this and possibly upgrading the lighting throughout.

Cheers!!
