Here are some Bi-Xenon Projectors I did for a client in Texas.
2009 Pontiac Solstice
Wicked Stock Paint color (red-ish metallic)

Brand New FX-R Hybrid Bi-Xenon Projectors (Version 3.0)
Internals Modified and Painted to give off a red demon eye when not lit
Morimoto 6000k 35 watt HID Bulbs
Morimoto 35 watt Ballasts
Morimoto Dual CCFL Halo Accent Lights
Custom H13 Bi-Xenon Heavy Duty Harness with Morimoto Relays

This was a custom project, where there was a lot of back-n-forth communication with
the client to get this just right.   We originally painted these ALL Wicked Red to see what it looked like (see Corvette headlights). They turned out great, but after looking at them with
the client, we decided to break it up a bit and paint the stock reflector black….and that did it….perfect!  Another thing on this one was that he wanted dual accent lights in there
somehow…whether that was going to be just CCFLs, LEDs or combination of the two.
We finally decided on Dual White CCFL lighting accents, one placed behind the shroud to give it the ‘Iron Man’ look and another one mounted just behind the Shrouds outer lip, so that it gives off a nice back lit circle.
The lenses on these things were bad when I received them. Not horrible, but as with
ALL Solstice lights nowadays, you think they are fine because chrome hides a lot, but as soon as you paint the chrome ANY color, the flaws POP….and this one had internal and external blemishes and dings. My painter worked them over for a few hours and cleared them up the best he could. Muuuch better than they were before; so client will be happy with that.  All in all, this was a great project….

Ed swung by the shop early this spring, as he was in town visiting family.  We discussed some options for his Solstice and come up with a pretty good plan.  Once he got back to Texas, he sent me the lights and I've just begun to work on them.

So far, all I've done is prep everything for paint.  These badboys will be getting a complete washout of Wicked paint. Wicked is GM's Ruby Red Metallic color. Ed liked the way the Corvette's headlights look, so we are going to see how they turn out on a solstice.  If he changes his mind, it'll be easier to paint certain parts black, than viceversa.

Biggest thing was taking apart the new Version 3 FX-R hybrid projectors....these are a bit different than the Version 1 or 2's that I'm use to....but they are ready and good to go. Also, on these newer projectors, they are wider in the lens holder area, so significant mods were made to the Gatlin shroud in order for it to fit.......lots of dust flyin' around after this one.

Paint on Monday, Retro on Tuesday, mod the lights and should have these ready to go soon.

Owner sent me over some on-car pics of the headlights he purchased.......turned out great.
He's un-sure if he wants to re-install the red covers.....I'm 50/50 on that.....It think they look great as is.......thoughts????

Got them all sealed up, cleaned up, packaged up and ready to go.
Snapped these pics to finish off the build pics.

Next up?  On-Car pics whenever the client gets them to me.

Cheers

Got the CCFLs (two per shroud) attached to the shrouds
Projector has been hand-painted (couldn't masked off LED holes)
Mounted the Shrouds, soldered all the wires, tested all the lights.

Just waiting for the shrouds to cure and we'll be good to seal these badboys up.

This shroud/projector combo was the hardest I've had yet. Didn't help that I tried to stick 3 sets of CCFL's behind them. Unfortuneately, they don't make a size that would fit that last ring and even if they did, it wouldn't have fit on the FX-R projector.  I had to doctor these shrouds up in order to get them to fit just by themselves.....then add a strip of LEDs for the Demon Eyes, and 2 CCFLs to the mix and it took some crafty shifting to get these on.

All-in-all, I'm pretty happy with the outcome.....it's hard to tell how these will pop because of all the black, but they will for sure finish off that Brazen solsti once they get put on...it's such a good color when you match it with black, that these headlights will look siiiick!

....now......we wait.....

New Solstice Headlights.
This time they are going on a Brazen colored Solstice.
Brazen is Pontiac's (GM) Burnt Orange Color...it's called Inferno Orange.
Pretty cool color...has a mix of Red and Orange.

These ones will be special:

FX-R Projectors with clear lenses
G37 Shrouds Painted Brazen Orange
Dual Halo's behind G37 Shroud
Orange/Amber Demon Eye LED Accent Lighting
Everything else painted Gloss Black.

Will be ready for paint tomorrow and the next day

Got to start these finally....have had them for awhile, just been doing too many projects that cuase alot of dust in the shop....luckily customer doesn't not need them right away.

Got them seperated, figured out the plan and went to action.

What's the plan:
Dual Projector Conversion
DRL Area LED Conversion
Dual Demon Eye Accent Lighting
Dual CCFL Halo Accent Lighting
Murdering the chrome and everything else

Hardest part so far has been setting up the DRL area for a projector shroud and lens; as well as fitting the stock projector area with a 90mm ccfl halo ring......dremel wizardry got me through this one.

Once everything dries in this cold weather we're having, I can start assembling everything and get these sealed up and on their way back to the mid east-ish.

Finished these up for a customer in Brazil.
His overall goal was to get these to look one-off, and unique...as well as have them look like an 'eye' at night......I think we accomplished that.

I'll throw all these photos over to the new 2012 projects page!!

Cheers

Have a client that's in the military that sent me his Mitsubishi Evolution X projector headlights.
These lights do give a pretty good beam from stock....but customer didn't want to upgrade projectors.....he just wanted some custom headlights to go with his already stellar whip.

This is all I got done in the 30 mins I had available tonight.

These are getting a Fake Dual Projector Look, Blacked out with Dual Halos and Demon eyes.....should be pretty cool once I'm done.

Till the next update.

Been working on this one on-and-off where I have time.
Local client wanted a bunch of lighting put into his stock headlights while his car was down for service.
Thought we'd do as much as we've ever done.

Single Bi-Xenon Projector Retrofitted into the Stock Halogen Low Beam Reflector Area.
Fake Projector Lens and Shroud Retrofitted into Stock High Beam Reflector Area.
Both Backing Shields were painted Red to give off a Demon Eye look when lights are off.
Both Projectors have 6 Red LEDs to give off a BRIGHT Demon Eye look when turned on.
Main Gatlin Shroud has the Iron-Man halo mod behind it....white.
Everything was painted Matte Black, while the stock reflector shroud got a coat of white to match the car.

I'll have more pics of these when we get them installed and wired up.
