Got some free time to finish the door pods up.  Owner has been rocking them for a few weeks, and I've been waiting on decals for the plexi.  Just a few more days and this car will represent Trax Customs!

Took the door apart, trimmmed some plastic, wired up the LED strips and cleaned the glass.  Also, has some neons laying around, so I rewired the trunk lights with them.....might switch those to LED strips as well....we'll see.

Cheers

I say complete, because Kip (owner) is here for a month, and I've put off some things to get his feedback, and will finish everything up before he goes back to New York.

So here are some final shots....for now!!

Stayed up late finishing up the Radar installation.  Got the front main radar mounted, as well as the two laser jammers, routed all wires carefully through engine bay and into the cabin.
Plugged the seat's airbag back in, turn it on and had a smile when everything worked right and responded correctly.  That radar is sick.

Also, cut out plexi windows for the subbox and door pods, as well as finished up the tweeter pods and final coat on the subwoofer box.

That being said, it's INSTALL night tonight.  Everything goes in and is fired up.   Carpeting everything and going through last minute install stuff.

Expect alot of pics tonight!

Well, it was back to only 4 hours of work able to perform so here is what I got done:

Shaped the subbox, filled the pinholes on it and shot 3 coats of textured paint on it.
One final coat of textured paint on the door pods, they are ready to be installed.
Smoothed out the tweeter cups, filled the pinholes, now just need to sand them down and shoot them.
Installed the Bluetooth mic, Radar Display, Radar LED, Radar Control Module and the USB update HUB.

Ready for tomorrow

Well.....got alot done today....now all that needs to be done is to wire up the 3 radar detector jammers and shifters, mount all the other components of the radar system, mount the doors, finish the subbox and finish the rear boot install...then cut plexi.....then wire everything up....ugh!!!

Here we go!

Cheers!

The Dremel and I were best friend tonight...cutting and sanding, until we could almost not see the Evo....soo much dust!

Trimmed the sub box, added one little layer on the outer tim piece.

Trimmed the door pods, and layed down a first coat of Rage Extreme......might I say, for those of you that know, and those that dont......Rage Extreme is by for WORTH every extra penny.......it's self leveling body filler.....no pin-holes, no nothing...just an amazing finish, and the green stage!!   Rediculous!! After that...got my Cheese Grater on and had a good ol' time!

Cheers!

Got 3 layers down, trimmed up the sides and cut the access holes for the inside stuff....and put a layer on the inside.....should be good to go for body filler tomorrow.

Knocked out the door pods tonight...well, at least the final construction and first layer of resin.

Cut out the plexi glass holder/trim piece, glued everything into place, stretch some t-shirt material over the pods, trimmed the sides down, bolted them up to the door panels so they won't warp and BAM....resin time!

Cheers!

Figured out the best way to mount these monster Arc 6000 speakers....T-Nuts
Pre-drilled, secured and glued the T-Nuts to the speaker baffle....these aren't going anywhere.

After that, put another layer of glass on the subbox, inside and out....I think after one more layer, I can FINALLY start to shape this thing!

Cheers

Was busy tonight, but didn't take any pics (sorry Kip).

Threw down some Kitty Hair on the box to fill some low spots...then put another layer of glass on the outside of the box.

Started on the door pods....get the flush mount ring for the Arc Audio 6000's cut out and is drying currently....going to the hardware store today to get some T-Nuts for that, then I'll cut out the Plexi windo and plexi holder, glue those down, and hopefully get some fleece on them tonight.....too many things to do, too little time!!
