Return Client finally got his Japan-Special back-up camera from overseas....with little hope that it'd work (mainly because of how inexpensive it was), he needed it put in.
I liked the design of the camera; it replaced the OEM license plate light lens and added the drop-down camera. Installation of the actual camera was a TIGHT fit, but it worked very well once done. Only a little bit of the bumper shows since it's a very tight tolerance.
Image output is what I'd expect from a standard backup camera and made the 6.5" Pioneer screen look very good once placed in Reverse.
Customer was stoked that it actually worked.....i was stoked with the cari
Faithful past client brought in his Accent again to 'just' get a backup camera.....after talking with him, we upgraded his stereo to a Mirror-Link JVC, so now he has access to his iPod via the 6.5" touchscreen, access to his Android phone via Mirror Link, DVD Playback, Bluetooth, Steering wheel controls AND backup camera.
Perfect finish to this car that we've been adding things to over the past 6 months.
Client brought in her 2007 Toyota Sequoia for a full swap of the electrical system.
Here is what I installed:
Sony XAV-701HD Multimedia DVD Player with Pandora, HD Radio, Bluetooth and much more
Generic Backup Camera, mounted by towing receiver
Steering Wheel Integration Module for a seamless installation
Had a customer contact me about his newly purchase limo.
It was a used model from California that he was rebuilding to start his own business.
Replacing old headunit and ripping out non-working DVD player
Replace damaged speakers
Replace dvd screens
Add auxiliary inputs to system
Add subwoofer to system.
Basically, customer wanted to do this on the cheap, and instead of selling him a few products from my mid-level brands, I wanted to go all out and do all high-end ENTRY level products....mainly to see what they were all about. I mean, I am a dealer of them, might as well see what I'm offering my customers. Basically, once this was all said and done, the system sounded great, I wasn't blown away from the product, but I've come to the conclusion: High-End Low-Grade Products (top of the line stuff offered from my lower end companies) Equals the same as the Entry level Mid-Grade Products. So I guess it all depends on what you want....quality over quantity in this case.
System sounded great, sub carried even into the drivers compartment; I'd want this Limo if I was planning on a great night out with friends and wanted to BUMP the music......it'll definitely do that!!!
Had a customer come in with his new 2012 Kia that needed some rear seat entertainment for his little ones. Wanted BIG screens and the ability to show two different movies at once or a single one on both......no worries there.
Check out these monster 9" Screens with built in DVD players x 2!!!
Had a customer bring in their 2001 Toyota Sienna for a quick Overhead DVD player installation. They will be going out of town in a few days and what better way to entertain the kids than an overhead DVD player.....out of the way, yet blends perfectly with the stock interior.
Installed a 9" Flip Down TView overhead unit, with LED Dome Lights.
The tan color matched the stock panel colors perfectly...so it's hard to tell it was installed as an OEM product.
Had a buddy of mine that was in need of an upgrade.
Wanted a deck that would allow him to do everything he wanted but wasn't sure what was available.
JVC to the rescue. This JVC KW-AV70BT Double Din Multimedia unit does it all; coupled with a KS-U30 Video iPod Cord and Sirius' SXV100v1 Tuner Kit, this deck will do HD Radio, Satellite Radio, Bluetooth, Pandora, USB and SD Card reading, as well as DVD Playback with future expansions of a backup camera. This deck doesn't offer Navigation out of the box, but with a simple download of JVC Navigation App on his smart phone, the owner will have a fully featured Navigation unit as well. With a few Metra Vehicla Specific parts, this big beast fit nicely into the 2009 Nissan Frontiers Dash.
Had a customer come in with some Power Acoustic Dual DVD Player Headrests he wanted put in....but he also wanted a way to integrate in his Xbox when needed.
Simple .... I hardwired in a 300 watt Stinger Power Converter and custom mounted a Stinger "Game Plate" in the existing spot where his un-used rear audio controls were.
He was somewhat ok with just having the built in FM Mod for sound throughout the car, but I informed him of iSimple's latest products and he was IN. Now he has crystal clear iPod audio input, as well as a Mini Jack audio input and hardwired DVD audio.
After all the dust settled he can no Listen to songs from his iPod, Listen to the DVD player that is showing off his new Dual 8.5" screens, as well as plug in an Xbox and play video games on-the-go.
Pretty cool road trip upgrade...his kids are going to love it!
Pretty simple install......Subaru WRX STI with stock headunit gets a Pioneer P2300 dvd headunit install....customer will be back to add Navigation.
Bypassed the video lock-out feature with a relay so customer doesn't have to keep flicking a switch to bypass everytime.
Had a customer come in with a Crown Victoria and a Pioneer AVIC-903BT.
Solid little unit, and he plans to use it to it's full potential.
He has an iPod with a stash of music and videos....we the aux inputs will be on most of the time.
These cars aren't meant to have DDin units installed in them, but after a little Dremel action, she fit just fine.
Got the factory DVD viewing disabled, so he can watch his DVDs, iPod video and enter navigation changes while on the move. After some troubleshooting, we figured out that he would need the Pioneer suggested ipod cable so he can watch videos from his iPod....other than that, simple install.
