Well, shortly after the first system went in the 'dairy truck' last year, the truck took a crap on the owner (thanks to a mouse in the fuse box). So....now we have almost the same components but a different truck.
2009 GMC Sierra
Pioneer 3200 Deck with Steering Wheel Controls
Memphis Audio 500 watt Street Reference Mono Amp
12" JL Audio Subwoofer in an old body style GM sub box
Put the amp behind the seat (back carpet was already cut for an amp.....well, chewed up)
Bass Knob was put down low
Deck pushed the stock speakers better than the stock deck could
All in all....good sounding system
Salmon Division sent more freebie lights down....these ones I was going to open them up and customize them and resell, but the internals were burnt badly (hence why they were junk).
Good news is that the Bi-Xenon Projectors are still good...so I can still put these to use....
I've got a set of headlights that will work perfectly with these.
Freebies:
Bi-Xenon 3" Valeo Projectors with working Solenoid and Bulbs/Ballasts
Fake 3" Projector lens and holder
Mini Side Marker lights (2 LEDs)
All-in-all, this was a good find.
Had a customer come in with his wife's headlights and he wanted them blacked out (for the most part) to match the theme she's got going on already.
Only problem with these is that the headlights on most newer GM vehicles are all perma-seal. Which means I have to deal with each headlight, individually for about an hour and a half just to get them open and able to seal again. (see picture below)
After I got them apart, and my muscles recovered, I painted all the chrome parts, except where needed to product light.
Sealed them up and they are out the door.
Got a GMC Arcadia Stock Halogen Projector Headlamp FO FREE!!! (no waffle fries though)
Just one side...so now I have an extra Valeo Low Beam and High Beam Projector.....might put them in Project BaggedXelem....you never know.
Anywho....these were a PAIN to open, I think because they had been sitting, without a seal on the back of them, so the glue was just shot.....so I had to cut the lens off.....no biggy since I only wanted the projectors.
Anyways.......gotta love me some freebies!
Had a Yukon Denali for a few days....gave it back to the customer with all these goodies installed:
Pioneer DEH-P6300BT Fold-out DVD player with Navigation, Bluetooth and iPod/Pandora
Backup Camera Custom installed in rear panel
Custom 2nd Monitor Installed in Lower Dash Panel Area, Vehicle Info Center relocated to center console
Rear Overhead Video Unit custom installed with LED lights
Rags got his truck as ready as can be for the upcoming sled season.
I think the order was a bit odd, but it's whatever.
Sled Deck...check
8" Fabtech RDS Lift...... check
22" Rims on 38" Tires.......check
That outta make for an easy time getting the sleds on.
Had a customer come in with a 2001 GMC Yukon XL.
Purchased products from one of our suppliers that recommends us.
Jensen Fold-Out 7" DVD Player
Jensen Bluetooth Adapter Kit
Jensen Aux/USB Adapter Cable
Jensen Back-up Camera
All in all it went great and customers were happy.
Not bad for a few hour night-time install!
Cheers!
Rag finally gave in and wanted some 'different' type of lighting other than HIDs.
Cool White side emitting LEDs were installed and wired up to a switch that is independent from the lighting system...so they can be on with the lights or without...perfect for dusk driving!
Cheers!
Got a decent sized project coming up as soon as I can fit it in.
DVD Player (Clarion)
Front Components (Hybrid Audio)
3 Channel Amp (Arc Audio)
Dual 10" Woofers (Arc Audio)
Custom Box to fit under seat
Got the box done today, had to bump out the woofers a bit more because Arc increased their tolerances, and added a 1/2" on the mounting depth for the XXD Woofers. NO biggy.
Cheers!
Been trying to knock out a bunch of projects, as well as keep up with the day-to-day jobs that come in.
Had a friend of a friend come in with a 2005 GMC Sierra pickup.
Wants a DVD player with iPod controls, Bluetooth, Satellite Radio, steering wheel controls and DVD Playback bypass.
Enter the Clarion VX400 coupled with a Sirius Satellite Radio tuner and a PAC steering wheel control interface.
This was a pretty simple install, just alot of wires to be fitted into the dash. After a little weight loss therapy (see last photo below) the DVD Player and all the components fit like a glove!!
Cheers
