Got the rear end all buttoned up....now we can move to the front.

So excited to be THAT much closer

Got the rear shocks figured out, and after some discussion, I'll be ordering a bunch of 4-line bushings and pipe...and we'll be doing away with the leaf system.
So for now...we at least know how low...and HIGH this thing will go in the rear.

Till then!

Well, I had an hour to start un-bolting things and this is what I came up with.

Removed the bottom 3 supports on the leaf and put it back on.
Seems like it worked ok as far as letting me know where my limits are before I start welding things in place.  Also....Gonna have to cut some fenders up front (more than likely in the rear.....just need to remove the front covers and everything to see where I'm at)

Not quite as low as it can go...but I'd be happy with the front being where it is, and the rear being level...then hit the bags and BAM....8"s

Back to the drawing board

So I got some free time for this (not much).....remove the rear leafs and flipped the main one over to see what it'd do......if this is how low I can go...I'm IN 100%
Just need to do the front then we can fab up some brackets for the bags n shocks

Name is still in the works, but basically what we have here is a Melex (get it....Melex backwards is Xelem......ugh)

It was a freebie cart, so I took it without thinking twice....in hindesight, Melex is a rare cart, so noone has parts for ANYTHING...so everything is custom.  Not a problem.

So far, I've cleaned out the entire rear of the cart, stripped it and gutted it.
Motor has been unbolted and shipped off to a company that will make the beast go faster. Stock speed is around 10-12.....I'm torn between minor upgrades to go 25 or crazy overhaul to go 45....and possibly have a fire hazard....so we'll see.

Next up is to figure out how to bag this bad boy.  Never done an air ride suspension, and since this one is a one-off build, I should learn lots.

Till next time!!
