Been chuggin' away at other projects, but this one is coming along. Just a few more things to do then I can seal these up and ship them out. This custom made board will be wired into a Plug n Play custom bulb socket that will....well....plug into the stock bulb holder and 'play' nicely with the electrical system. Add Comment Finally had some time to get back on these. Got the first one prepped for wiring and started on the second one. 75 LED holes drilled and filed down to flush. Next is to just secure the leds, wire them up....then seal back up both lights. FINALLY got these done....they have been on my list of To-Do's for about 2 years now. I figured what better time to get these done then for the Import Revolution 208 Show. These are powered by a small motorcycle battery (for weight and mobility) They are fused to protect my LEDs Each board is seperate from one another One board is LED modules and halo lighting...while the other are my LED strips and tubes Pretty cool, and customers can see just a few things I can install in their rides. Rag finally gave in and wanted some 'different' type of lighting other than HIDs. Cool White side emitting LEDs were installed and wired up to a switch that is independent from the lighting system...so they can be on with the lights or without...perfect for dusk driving! Cheers! Started Saturday morning out with a quick install. Put an Alpine CD player in with an Alpine Power Pack. These little power packs are kind of nice. They are a hide-away unit that wires directly in-line with the headunit, so no need to add additional power wires and what not.....actually hid nicely under the aftermarket Alpine...and gave it a definite boost in highs and mids. Worth the upgrade. Lifted Sierra came back to button up some additional add-ons. Added steering wheel controls and navigation to the Clarion we put in last week. Steering wheel controls are a must if they are existing and the navigation will aid the owner when he gets down to Texas. Also replaced all the stock lights that were yellow with blue LEDs....turned out great...once again....too bright outside to get good photos. Cheers Owner didn't like the look of actually seeing the source of the light in the headlight bucket. Problem......... Answer........remove and replace with LEDs.....DUH! Stock bulb is in there until owner replaces with a smaller, low profile bulb that is clear and not so huge. Light perfectly fills headlight bucket, isn't too bright and is exactly what the owner was wanting. These lights are only on when he pulls the 'light stick' out one click.....and they shut off when the headlights are turned on. His turn signals are the little cones above the headlight bucket...so purely ICE lights.... Looked sick driving away at night. Last pic is with lights on...camera made the others fairly brighter than they actually are. On to the next one!! Got all the lights bolted on and aligned....looks much better with everything smoked and black....next? Got a suprise next week. The projector lights are a HUGE improvement over the stock faded/fluted headlights.....cutoff/alignment photos were as soon as I turned them on...not even aligned yet...so that turned out good.......now you can see everything...much better! Cheers Finally got some spare time for these.....templates made and everything is secure....just need the customer's good words then I can button this side up and start on the other side. I with the budget on this build would have allowed me to mold and paint the taillights...but we're just doing a basic plug-n-play upgrade....so far so good Here's a few videos....note the sound is just the 6.5" comps and 6x9's running off an amp....no subs....sounds good so far! http://s423.photobucket.com/albums/pp318/cartmann32/Trax%20Projects/?action=view¤t=DSCN1676.mp4 Testing the bluetooth out... http://s423.photobucket.com/albums/pp318/cartmann32/Trax%20Projects/?action=view¤t=DSCN1675.mp4 After a few hours I finished the trunk and trunk lid...which completed the sound deadening (minus the inside of the door panels, once I get the subs going). So I figured since I was stuck in the trunk, I might as well wire up a thin LED strip to replace the cargo light in the trunk......thing is BRIGHT, that and the dome light, all reflecting off the sound deadener was a pretty cool sight.
