Got everything buttoned up and dropped it off with clients brother.
It was good to see it go...but I have a feeling I'll be adding more to this and/or doing something down the road.

On to the next one!

Pics will be transferred to the Project Page soon.

These were the only shots I could grab....I forgot to do a photo shoot.

So the surprise for Steven was the rims.....they were old and busted....so we made them new hotness.  Stripped them down to nothing...sanded them, then primer/single stage/hand painted logo and pin striped them.  Turned out good for a 4 hour paint session.  Everyone at the shop was helping on this one.....even the lady got in on the action with mixing the paint that we all hand-painted.  Overall, I think it completes the car.....even got a compliment on the car today as it was sitting outside.

After that, I got all the LEDs wired up in the trunk.  I also took the rear bumper off and attempted to sound deaden that....it's much better now that before...but since it was broken in one spot.....that tends to chatter a bit.....I'm still not done with that, but more later.

Other than a few odds and ends, Memphry is another one for the books.....donezo!!!!
I love driving this thing, as the sound is perfect....crisp highs and rediculous lows.....makes me wish I had a trunk!

Vinyl came in...so i put those on.  I'm diggin' the gold and black theme.

This is all I've got.....suprise a'comin' tomorrow.

Cheers

After doing some work on the custom LED taillights, I was able got the amps wired up and subs mounted.

Mounting those beastly subs by myself was a challenge, but I managed to get them secure.

Next up was the wiring....twas a challenge as well, but they are all hooked up now.

Turned all the settings down and saw what they had un-tuned......wow.....I even had them cutoff at 50 hrz....so it sounded like there was a hole obviously from 51-80ish....but wow....this system is going to pound.

Inside of the cabin it sounds pretty tight....so sound deadening and dampining worked great.....as for the outside.....i'm not sure if anything short of welding the trunk shut and putting in about 75 screws to stop the rear bumper from rattling....oh well.  I'll look into getting rid of some of the vibrations.

Now I just have to make the trim covers and we're set!! Woot

Got all the lights bolted on and aligned....looks much better with everything smoked and black....next? Got a suprise next week.

The projector lights are a HUGE improvement over the stock faded/fluted headlights.....cutoff/alignment photos were as soon as I turned them on...not even aligned yet...so that turned out good.......now you can see everything...much better!

Cheers

So the only problem with this build got bigger.
Memphis has be on backorder for their MOJO amps...the 2500 beast I ordered over 2 months ago.  Waiting and waiting on it, but still no luck.  Got a call this morning that they are pushing the amps back ANOTHER month...so that sucks worse!!!  So I said "screw it...not waiting"   Ordered two 1100 watt mono amps, and we'll be strapping those together to get our 2200 watts we need.  The biggest factor here is that we have subs for this system that were paired/ordered to work with said MOJO amp...well the two seperate amps won't work with those...so I needed to order new subs as well......oh well, now we'll have bumps by the weekend!! Stoked about that.

Painter got to the lights.....Did an amazing job...as always....so here are the rest of the exterior lights...ready to go on tonight...or tomorrow!

Cheers

Here's a few videos....note the sound is just the 6.5" comps and 6x9's running off an amp....no subs....sounds good so far!

Hit it hard on Friday night and haven't stopped until now (Sunday night)
Had some time to get some other projects started and did some random mini installs while I was at it...all it all, I'm just waiting on paint on the corners and taillights....and the subwoofer amp.....then we're donezo!!!!

Got the speakers all installed upfront and 4 channel amp temporarily hooked up and gave it a listen.   Un-tuned and all the settings untouched..this system already sounds crazy good....highs are perfect and the midbass is very impressive!!!!  All that hardwork on the sound deadening was worth it...we'll see what happens when we add 2400 watts to two subwoofers.....which, by the way, have a home now.....got the subwoofer box smoothed out and texture coated.....thing is a BEAST.....you want SPL out of a daily, while having good tunes when it's not hitting hard....gotta build the box as big as you can.....Box was a bit bigger than I wanted...but to get it tuned right, had to go this route.........gonna slam!

Got the headlights sealed up and ready for a final tweak/leveling once the corners get smoked.

Got the LEDs wired up front on a switch and other than that....long weekend...but we're about 95% done....waiting on the Mailman now (not Karl Malone).

Cheers

Got the shrouds painted to match the existing color scheme of the car...I think they look sick...and will look damn good on the car!  Just need to seal the sides and we'll be good to go.

Got the majority of the stock pieces and panels back into the car...enough so that I could pull all three cars in..woot!  I must say that with the back seats all in and the door jams covered...this things is pretty damned air tight....when you close a door and you're in the car, you can definitely tell it's sealed.....so all the sound dampening was worth it!!  We'll see what happens when we give 2500 watts to two ported MOJO woofers!!!

Speaker of that, I found a pic of the box when it was being constructed....but somehow the camera put a 'ripple' effect on it....so ya...kind of like a sneak peek shot.....I like it, so I left it!

Cheers

Got the battery isolator hooked up and running, so I figured I might as well bolt up the rear battery.  Everything is secure, and I left plenty of wire to the battery if needed down the road.  Don't want that 0ga wire to be too short if you every have to remove the battery and add a new one....who knows.......better to be safe than sorry!

As for the rest of the system in the rear...just need to start doing some wood work, cutting amp rack plates and we'll start getting some tunes going.

Test fitted the projectors and made sure I like how they are going to sit in the headlights and in the car.....first test fit was spot on and only needed to raise one side.....not too shabby!!!  These will look sick once done......black on black baby! Ballasts have been wired up and they are ready to go as well.
Now all that's left is the shrouds need to be painted and then we're donezo.
