Owner got around to snapping a pic of the headlights we did nearly a year ago and sent one my way.  He still loves them and gets compliments all the time.

So....cheers!

Finished the lights up tonight....they look good, and I think the client will be happy once he gets them.

Here's a video to show you the radioactive halos

Almost done....took 4 looooong hours to get the shrouds just right, wired up and everything set.  Now just to wait overnight for adhesives to set up then we'll seal the headlights and ship them out!

Radioactive symbol came out pretty good....could have used an extra coat of black base paint, as the halo's shine through JUST a hair...but i think they get the point across!

Cheers

Watching paint dry really does suck.
Aligned the lights so they are as close to plug-n-play as possible as far as beam cutoff height.  Disassembled the projectors, figured out the LED locations, taped everything off and shot some engine enamel on them....3 coats later and these guys are ready for final assembly.

Also, painted up the RadioActive halos.  With the help of a jig I made, I was able to make sure the lines will line up perfectly once placed on the halo.  After some precise measuring and some razor blade trickery that would cause a surgeon to smirk, we have this!!

Cheers

Didn't have much time to work on anything tonight...but I did get the reflector bowls mounted back up, and ready to throw onto Project Test Dummy (My Beater) for final alignment....then they will be dismantled and prep'd for paint.

Prep'd and painted the chrome eyelid shrouds on the headlights.  Engine Paint so that it can withstand any heat that's put on it.

Cheers

Got the projectors mounted up and they are drying overnight.
Shrouds are prep'd and painted....drying overnight as well.

All that's left to do is mount everything up and do everything else!

Cheers

Once I was done baking open Project Colorado's headlights, I moved on to the more important lamps....as I'm starting and completing these headlights this week.

Not much here...just showing the 'Owl Eyes'
Picture

New project here. Customer wants projector headlights, same scheme as Project Beater (a.k.a. My Solsti) but he wanted something a little different.
We'll be painting the headlights the same color (gray on all black), but then the halos will be different.  Customer wants a Bio-Hazad look when you look at the halo's head-on, then, since we did this, we figured that from the side, they would look like a fusion tower....like what you see in a mad-scientist's lab...so we're rolling with it.  These were some photo's I snapped for the owner, so he can decide.
