Owner sent me over some on-car pics of the headlights he purchased.......turned out great. He's un-sure if he wants to re-install the red covers.....I'm 50/50 on that.....It think they look great as is.......thoughts???? Add Comment So I'm helping out a fellow Solstice member....long story short, he got the short end of the stick (it was more of a handle that was offered to him and his end was a wet noodle) on an internet sale, and being that I do 20% of my business online, I hate these types of transactions (makes my job alot harder). So I offered my services to make things right. I have a few things in front of this project, but I'll start busting them out quicker now that Memphry is almost completed. Things to do: Remove existing Tint from headlights Remove cheaply made chrome shroud Add shroud with material that can withstand heat putoff by HID lighting Add CCFL Halo lighting behind said shroud Reassemble and ship! Till then Got all the lights bolted on and aligned....looks much better with everything smoked and black....next? Got a suprise next week. The projector lights are a HUGE improvement over the stock faded/fluted headlights.....cutoff/alignment photos were as soon as I turned them on...not even aligned yet...so that turned out good.......now you can see everything...much better! Cheers Finished up the light portion tonight....waiting on the sealant to dry, then I'll mount them in the headlight brackets and the owner is coming over on Wednesday....so I'll have more pics on Wednesday of the mounted lights. The corners will stay chrom for now, but we'll be ordering some more LEDs and painting everything black and having all new LED lighting in those as well.....should be a pretty high tech Honda!! Cheers Got started on a 93 Honda Accord headlight projector retrofit. This will be pretty cool I think when it's done. So, these headlights have a dedicated low beam and high beam setup. Since we're retrofitting Bi-Xenon projectors into the low beam spot....what to do with the high beam spot? Showed the customer some products and we decided to stick a single, high powered LED in the high beam location. This LED is BRIGHT!!!! With everything blacked out, this should turn out pretty trick! Got everything mounted, painted and aligned....tomorrow after everything dries, I'll assemble everything back up and call it a night! Cheers Got the LEDs installed, blacked out the reflector piece, cleaned and sealed the lights back up last night. Now, just need to waterproof them and we'll be good to go. Cheers So, this one hasn't been going as quickly as I'd like/need it to, but we're making progress. Painted everything and mounted the shrouds. Now I just need to mount the LEDs, wire up everything, then I can seal them back up! Almost done!!! Cheers Finally got started on these guys. It's been too cold out in the shop, and i was afraid my chemicals and adhesives wouldn't setup....so I had to wait till it was above 40 degrees!! Anyways, got them aligned....didn't want to push time, so I'll paint tonight, then move onto LEDs. Cheers! Swapped amps on Project Evo X last night (wierd whining coming from 4 channel amp and Mono block amp blew). Also started fabricating the sub trim panel, so that will be ready to paint soon New Lights came in for Project HondaLights. Just waiting on Projectors and everything else. So far the plan is to retrofit projectors in the stock low beam portion of the lights, but there are some ideas floating around for the high beam section.....more to come Once I was done baking open Project Colorado's headlights, I moved on to the more important lamps....as I'm starting and completing these headlights this week. Not much here...just showing the 'Owl Eyes' |
