Had a customer bring in his 98 Chevy S10 pickup.
Had the stock deck in there and was putting in a Jensen reciever.
Customer purchased a kit for the replacement but it was the wrong one and budget was tight, so, instead of just throwing it in there, I made him a custom ABS dash kit.
Fit like a glove and you can barely notice it's not a regular kit.

Had a customer that needed a deck installed, as well as the steering wheel controls integrated into the new unit.

Simple little install...did it on-site at the customer house.

Cheers

Phil brought his Porsche Targa back for an upgrade.
He loved the way the Memphis MClass speakers sounded (who wouldn't) but he wanted more.
Being that it's a sudo-convertible, adding an amp to boost the speakers to a higher, crisper,
un-distorted sound is the next step.
Naturally, the Porsche would only get the best....so we threw in an MClass 4 channel Amp (MC4.50) This is giving the speakers 50 watts at minimum to power through the road noise and wind.
This is exactly what the Targa needed....but I'm thinking he might be back to add a sub :) :)

While I was in there, he asked me to take a look at the 'stock-ish' alarm that was installed...giving him sporadic false alarms throughout the night. I located the 'brain' back in a cubby hole, un-zip tied and just rattling around....Phil no longer has the remotes for it, and the
company has long been out of business. So I yanked that and a bunch of other wires that were just chilling in the boot, attached to the fuse block and battery....but to nothing else.

So....moral of the story....if you want really good sound and your car needs to lose some (wire) weight.....Come to Trax Customs :)

Had a customer come in with an 83 Mustang Foxbody.
Basic stock turn knob radio....my favorite!

This wasn't too bad...just had to get the radio out of the dash....worse shaft radio one yet.
It's like the manufacturer puts in the radio first...then builds the car.  In order to get this bad boy out you have to dismantle the enture center console, then start undoing the dash.....79.5 screws and bolts later, you're able to strong arm that radio outta there.

The other issue with this car is that it's got a common ground speaker system...which is usually fun.  This one was easy, sometimes they can be a realy pain.

Made a simple trim piece to match the existing trim piece and we're good to go now.

Cheers!

Had a customer bring in a Saturn that already had a nice Alpine Headunit and some aftermarket speakers.....just needed some bump.
Digital Designs 500 package fit them perfectly for what they wanted and their budget.

Digital Designs 500 series 12" woofer placed into a perfectly matched ported enclosure that's finished off with their logo stitched in red, provides just enough bass when it's put on a CM600 amp....this little monoblock pushes plenty of power to this setup and the customer was happy.  Mounted the amp on the back seat and hide the wires the best the car would allow it.

Cheers!

Had a 2003 Subaru WRX come in for an amp install.
Old school Eclipse amp to push the front speakers and rear Custom JL Sub.
Installed the amp under the seat and called it a day.

Had a client come in that was concerned about his stock sound system (amplified Focal speakers....if you call that stock)(owner didn't know that Focals were installed).
He's a true audiophile at heart....so Hybrid Audio Technologies is the first speaker that popped into my head.  Wasn't sure about what model to go with, since it's a convertible; but the owner didn't want to install a subwoofer, so Clarus was the choice; they have a lower range of frequencies that they can play...so we squeezed the more amount of mid-bass out of them as we could.

Owner had pre-selected an amazing deck, the Alpine CDA-117....truely an audiophiles headunit of choice.....more audio tweaking options that most need.....just enough for this project.

The doors got a 3 layer sound deadening system (inner door skin, middle door skin, and inside door panel) to help the mid bass out as well as block some road noise.

All of this was pushed by the Arc Audio KS Mini, 2 channel amp....perfect size to fit under the seat where most other amps wouldn't dream of fitting.

So those speakers......yeah, they're going in this.

Sick 2011 MB Boat.....think is nasty.  Had a full Wet Sounds system in it already and a Clarion Deck.....just needs towers....and that's where I come in....thought I'd post these, as the owners son hasn't seen the boat yet, so he'd be able to catch a glimpse!!

Till next week (on this project anyways)
