Almost done with the new shop test bench setup. The old one worked fine, for the area I had in the old shop, but with more room, I'm going horizontal rather than vertical.
Plus, with this new setup, my test speakers (Arc Audio KS 6009 components) will have more airspace, thus sounding more nartural.
Once complete, I'll be able to test 12volt products such as CD Players, HID lights, LEDs, and much more. Test Amps; either 2 channel, 4 channel, or mono, all without unplugging anything from the back of the display anymore.
This is how it should be done.
Back to building!
Still going hard at it on the pods....I swear I'm taking pictures, just not posting them yet.
I broke my compressor and main Dremel last night, so sanding and shaping didn't go as fast as I wanted them to. Got everything smoothed out and found all the 'non-absorbed' materials. So then I coated those in fiberglass and then tonight I'll make the internals structually sounds by adding even more fiberglass weave and resin. After that? The final shaping will take place, put some milkshake on it, then paint! Should be done in a few days if all goes smoothly and nothing else in the shop breaks!
