Trax Customs is a locally owned and operated car audio/video installation facility, and a bit more. In Boise, owner Travis Etchart, has converted his residential garage into
a top-notch professional installation center. From the very moment that I met Travis
and walked into his work space, I felt at ease. His installation environment is clean
and professionally organized, and Travis himself is a very good communicator
with many skill sets. Trax Customs is legally registered with the State of Idaho and is an on-going business
The project I had brought Trax Customs on Sept 11, 2012 was very basic. Remove an OEM stock system from a 2000 Toyota Corolla and install a new receiver/deck with a power amp and 4 speakers, on budget. On average, local area competitors wanted about 35 to 60% more money when quoting their labor price for this same job.
I supplied Trax Customs with all the components and most all of the required
hardware. But if you’d prefer avoiding the challenge of chasing down the endless details of product acquisition, Trax can do it for you. Upon inspecting the work I found the attention to detail to be meticulous, matching or exceeding my expectations. Many years ago I supervised one of the largest installation facilities in Northern California and I have seen the good, the bad and the ugly I know the difference good workmanship can make.
Travis did this job the way he would have done it for a very old and dear friend, on budget and on time. I have a feeling this is the way he does all his jobs, big or small. It’s about pride, and he gets it. Travis is humble, but at the same time exudes confidence, the kind that can only be grown from years of experience. When I inquired about the warranty for the work I’d paid, he smiled and said, “Oh it’s lifetime, I’m not going anywhere”. Trax Customs is quite possibly the best installation center in the Treasure Valley
Visit their website, it too… is extremely well done.
