Was up till 1 am working on a suprise project.....Project Orange Crush. Was originally supposed to install wake board tower pods on the roll bar with Arc Audio KS 6.5" speakers; but the supplier could not meet our deadline; so we were left with speakers that needed to go into a Jeep that didn't have any locations for speakers. Solution? Make custom kick panel pods. Problem? No time to do full-on fiberglass pods. Solution #2? Quick pods, angled to project a good speaker image. Keep checking back for more photos.
Parts have arrived for Project Maxima, order parts for Project Orange Crush, prepping taillights for custom one-off retro-fit, ordered parts for a full Chevy audio install, and got the green light on Project DeVille Low-Low......needless to say; we've been busy! Stay posted for more info.
Busy weekend. Troubleshot Project Saab, attempted to add amps and what not, but when the signal out of a stock headunit is fried, you simply cannot do this (note taken). Next step? Adding a new headunit with built in iPod and Aux controls, as well as integrating in the stock steering wheel controls. This should be a fun one, seeing as how they don't make anything for this vehicle. Trax Customs - Pioneering the way of car audio and visual installations!
Installed the brand new Touchscreen JVC Double Din DVD player, with iPod controls and proximity sensors into Ryans truck last night. This headunit is pretty special. When your listening or watching a movie, the entire headunit goes black (expect for the screen) then you can just wave your hand in front of it, and it lights up (allowing you to see the volume controls and other buttons). Also installed and amp and sub to get the music sounding right. Followed up with his low beam headlights converted over to HIDs.....busy night at Trax Customs!
Been busy over the weekend. Finished up some stuff around the shop, started construction on the guard dog's palace, and finished up Project 350z's new headlight setup. Go check it out on the 2010 Projects Page; Larger Halos and R8 inspired LEDs
Check back after this weekend for updated shop photos and 350Z version 2.0; with all new headlights lighting sure to 'wow' the crowd.
There has been alot going on lately with Trax Customs and the owners.
Travis has relocated his workspace to his new 3 bay garage. Now he's ready for even more projects with all of that room.
Ryan and his wife just welcomed their new son, Ryden, into the world. Expect to see Ryden working for Trax soon, as I'm sure he'll take after his father and start picking up wrenches very quickly.
All this being said, this is why there haven't been many updates; but don't worry, we'll give you your fix. So just stick around and we'll keep posting more and more photos and whatnot.
