This go around, we went with all the little chrome accents throughout the entire car, minus the headlights...those will be dealt with at a later date.
Instead of just painting everything gloss black, we chose to try out the 'Chrome Shadow' paint to see what it looks like.
First take on using this stuff. The 2nd coat looks amazing.....as far as the black chrome goes....but in order to cover the transparent inefficiencies of the aerosol can, you have to put more coats on, which almost turns it a gloss black anyways. Once done, you can tell it's not gloss black, but it doesn't look as cool as it could if you only need to apply 2 coats.
Either way, it does give the chrome a different accent color than just painting it black.....it's interesting stuff....just basically smoking chrome. Biggest downside is you can't prep the chrome...you have to shoot it plain, no scuffing or anything....which, we'll see over time if that bites us in the rear.
Once done, this car will look amazing, once it gets lowered and headlight modified.
