Tahoe Can See Clearly Now the Fogs are In

Local Dealership needed to upgrade this brand New Chevy Tahoe with some factory fogs, since they didn't have that option installed.

The install was pretty straight forward....remove factory blank plates, insert fog housing....call it a day.

I was just going to originally hooked them up to an aftermarket switch...but the dealership wanted to install a factory light switch and enable the fog light circuit as if fully installed as a factory option.
Fast forward 4 hours of re-mapping the factory ECU...it's not possible....
So....a hole was drilled in the lower dash area below the factory headlight switch and a low profile switch was installed.

Spider-ridden Altima gets some new lights

Customer brought in his new Nissan Altima for some more lights.

He had the base package, so he didn't get the foglights...just some fake vent covers.
He had ordered a plug-n-play package online and brought everything to me to install.

As per usual, a few things weren't plug-n-play and had to be custom fitted to the vehicle....but other than that this install went very quick.

Unless you follow me on snapchat....or facebook...then you'd see my Spider Chronicles on this build.....let's just say a family of Black Widows took up residence in the engine bay!

BMW Halo Repair

Had a buddy bring in his BMW that I previously worked on.
I installed these new projector lights that came with Halo's installed and better projector optics. Only problem was the headlight housing he ordered had a broken (literally) halo in one of them. No problem, right? Incorrect.......instead of simply shipping the old like back and getting a new one, the company he ordered them from just sent him a halo. Seriously? Someone buys your product that supposedly has a good reputation for, and you tell the customer: "Here is the part that's broken, BAKE open the headlights and replace it yourself. WTF Guys? If that's the case, I could have retro'd his stock lights for about the same price and WHOOOPED your 'so-called' aftermarket upgrades. Ok...rant over.

So i opened up his newly purchased and freshly broken headlight and swapped out the literally broken (because it was improperly assembled and not checked before it was shipped) halo......all is well now.

It's Aveo Time!!

Finally got around to moddin' the Aveo (...slash....Fiance finally needed something done to fix her car [new tires] so I took the downtime as a Go-Ahead to work on the car).

She needed new tires, as naturally, the stock rims should be sanded down, painted and the covers shall be matched as well.
Then that turned into smoking every light she had on the car, as well as painting a few stock grills that had unnecessary third colors present. Oh....and I retro'd her headlights.....to give it that one-off look, as well as stop driving me crazy when I drive it at night. She was very hesitant at first, but after the last piece was put on and she was able to drive it again, she's starting to like it more and more.

*Side note......had some 'dude-bros' in an all-black stock aveo just like this one break their necks looking at the much cooler aveo roll by the other day......made me smile.....freaked the fiance out a bit*

Retro'd the headlights with Bi-Xenon HID Projectors, everything black inside with the Apollo shrouds paint matched to the stock Aveo color. Turned out perfect.

Also had the windows tinted....20% all around....made the outside look perfect and lowered the inside temp a bunch!

Branded the car with a few Trax stickers (Gloss black down low and Matte Black up top in the rear)

Next up????? Coilover kit to drop her down 3".....that'll make it look perfect.

Custom Mustang Headlights

Had a local client bring in his new aftermarket headlights he got from a friend.
To date, these were easily the BEST quality aftermarket headlights I've worked on. Plastics were in good shape and withheld constant heat without warping. Inner structure was solid, nothing was skimped on when constructing these. Projectors had a decent cutoff (even though the lens wasn't clear) and the accessory lighting they had installed was of the same quality of the higher-end aftermarket accessory lighting I use in all my headlights......so he was already ahead of the game with purchasing these lights.

Client wanted to completely black out the inside of the lights, add demon eye accent lighting and make the halo's more aggressive with a demon eye slant. Well, I'm pushing my new XB Halo lights and he agreed after seeing the lights, that he wanted them on his car.

Painted the turn signal basket, heavily modified the stock angel eye holder to accept the newer, brighter, bigger XB LED Halo light, added the demon eye accent lighting and taped off the halo cover for that aggressive demon eye look.

Once everything was sealed up, i installed them on the Mustang, did a few minor custom wirings to make everything Plug-n-Play, yet 100% waterproof, and he was out the door with the finishing touches that made the stellar Mustang pop even more. Head turner for sure.

Plug n Play Projector Foglights get a Donor Car

Had a local car guy step up and allow me to borrow his wife's car for the night.....good thing, as my original adjustments would have been way off (way to go Pontiac for making something level that should have been level).

Anyways, as you can clearly see, the only thing that is different about these lights compared to stock is the method of output. The bulb is the exact same bulb, nothing higher powered.....and i'm thinkng it's about 150% more coverage where needed....out front and down low. The stock fogs provide a better IMMEDIATE up front coverage, but they disappear after 20-30 feet....not these upgraded bad boys....they'll keep going muuuch further.

Now that I have these leveled how I needed them, i can get on to designing the LED layout for the turn signals.

Got a GMC Arcadia Stock Halogen Projector Headlamp FO FREE!!! (no waffle fries though)

Just one side...so now I have an extra Valeo Low Beam and High Beam Projector.....might put them in Project BaggedXelem....you never know.

Anywho....these were a PAIN to open, I think because they had been sitting, without a seal on the back of them, so the glue was just shot.....so I had to cut the lens off.....no biggy since I only wanted the projectors.

Anyways.......gotta love me some freebies!
