Upgraded Subaru Legacy Headlights

6/3/2018

Client that lives a state away shipped me up a second pair of lights for his new Subaru Legacy to get some slight upgrades.
He'd previously attempted to do a set but learned that the 2018 headlights do not back-fit into the 2017 version...so all his work was lost.
So he shipped me the correct lights to upgrade the 'C' light and do some internal painting and demon eye work.

These were a tricky set to open up...they wouldn't fit in Recardo DeRange...so I had to actually cut these open....which I don't like doing...but we got it done.
The C Light upgrade was easy peasy....no issues there.
The Demon Eyes were the same...super simple and easy to do.
The painting went well...blacked out everything including the high beam area, so it definitely changed the look of the front end on this car.

Sometimes simple is the best solution

Client from Florida reached out and wanted a set of 'simple'-ish headlights built for him.
Wanted to lose all the chrome and add a small touch of custom inside.
Here we painted everything black internally, then we painted over the factory Turn Signal area so that we'd have room to place a nice Gloss White 'Denali' logo over.....so since the turn signal area is blacked out, we obviously replaced the factory DRL boards with Switchback Boards so he's got turn signals still.....

These are going on a white truck so the Denali logo will match perfectly and tie everything together up front.

Another Rainbow Unicorn Sierra in the books

5/13/2018

Busted out another set of custom GMC Sierra Projector Headlights for a local dealership here in town.
The last set sold an already tricked out truck as soon as the client saw what the headlights could do....so when they showed another potential client what they could do, he opted to have an identical set built.

So we went with ALL black internals again (Triple Smoked Lenses with Gloss Black Paint)
Then we upgraded the factory Turn Signal bulb with a Switchback LED as well as junked the factory (White Only) DRL LED Boards and swapped in some Switchback LED Boards.
Then to give it that fancy-pants look, threw in some RGBWtf Rainbow Unicorn Triple Demon Eye accents.

These went on the truck and then it shipped out down to Texas.

Project QuadCeption - Chevy Silverado

4/29/2018

This was a fun one.

Introducing.....Project QuadCeption

Customer brought in his 2006 Chevy Silverado. He'd had a bunch of work done at many different shops around the valley and wasn't happy with most of it....so he decided it was time to try someone new....
PHASE 1.....LIGHTS!

The client basically said "I'd like to take this to SEMA one day....build me some SEMA-worthy lights".
That's all I needed to hear.
I've wanted to do some gnarly Cat-Eye lights before, but never got the opportunity to do things my way....so here is what I proposed:

QUAD LED Projectors High/Low
QUAD Baja Designs Wide Cornering Flush Mount LED Pods
QUAD Upper Housing Eyebrow Switchback LED Strips
QUAD Lower Housing Eyebrow Switchback LED Strips
QUAD Multicolor Demon Eye Accent Lighting
QUAD Stage Series LED Bars in Bumper (Wide and Spot Lenses)
QUAD Tow Mirror Switchback LED Strips
Multicolor Wheel Well Accents
Interior Floor Lighting LED Upgrade (so driver can see what his Demon Eyes are doing)
Interior Lighting LED Upgrades
Subwoofer, Amp and Box Upgrade

So the easier housings to modify were the lower units. These I needed to stuff in some Baja flush mount pods and then mount the switchback strips....no problem....
I fabricated some custom ABS panels to match the external border of the internal housing....then I secure them mechanically via some gnarly heated staples....then sealed the units permanently with chemicals and body filler....then bedlinered the entire internal surfaces.
From there, I was going to blend the baja pods into the finished panel, but decided against it so they had a contrasting color (Brushed Black Aluminum vs Flat Black ABS.....it looked very nice.

Moving on to the upper housings, these were a complete mess to fabricate.....I didn't have the truck the first go-around....so I needed to make all the adjustments and tweaks as best I could without knowing clearances ......so I redesigned this bracket 3-4 times before I thought I had it just right....once I got the truck, I could easily tell I was off...so I redesigned it once more and got the fitment perfect! CBD makes these kickass brackets...but they are meant to fit smaller projectors....not necessarily the MLED units....which are MUCH wider and overall girthier....so I had to do quite a bit of trimming and a ton of spacing to make sure I clear the front lens and allow for minimal rear external protrusion.
Once the projectors were fitted, I was able to mod the truck....in order to make these fit, some of the front needed to be trimmed out and removed....this is definitely not a DIY Plug-n-Play set of headlights...so i doubt I'll be doing another set of these, unless someone wants to ship me their truck....luckily this customer was local.
The fronts were then fitted with some Ocular shrouds and trimmed to fit the mounting bracket as well as the outer headlight shroud.....one that was fitted with yet another set of Switchback LED strips.
The rear of these housings got a unique 'patch job'......I had originally planned on using the GTi-R shrouds for the front...but they didn't cover everything and they fit so damn well on the backside of the housing...so I used them to seal up the rear.....which I've never seen before...so i think it's a first :-D

After the upper and lower housings were sealed, I terminated ALL of the connectors with new Deutsche connections (2 way, 3 way and 4 way terminals) for a much more professional finish than I'm used to providing. This is much more expensive, but in the end, totally worth it...so i'll be doing this from here on out for all my clients!

The bumper got some sleek light bar upgrades as well.
I didn't want to add a bunch of cheap 50" or 85" LED bars that all the bro's are getting off Cheapazon....so I went with strategically placed 6" Diode Dynamic Stage Series light bars.
2 Wide Cornering bars replaced the factory Fog Light housings and 2 Spot bars went into the 2 small openings in the center of the bumper.
The wide cornering bars are on the factory foglight switch and can be used during On-Road use since they are DOT/SAE legal. The spot bars and the Baja Pods in the lower housings are placed on a switch near the foglight switch....these unleash the power of the sun, so are to be used Off-Road only....or to announce that another driver has done something wrong or was just plain stupid and their retina's will now pay for it!

The tow mirrors were simple....ish. He'd already purchased these aftermarket mirrors, but they still had the lame Amber running lights up front...so I swapped them for the switchback strips to mimic the front quads and then re-wired how the mirrors were hooked up so they functioned properly.
The combination of 12 Total Switchback strips (84" Total) is unreal....it's the brightest set of Running/Turn lights I've done to date and this beast looks amazing running down the road....truly sets off the lines on the front of this truck.....you can easily tell what kind of truck this is at midnight if it's coming head-on to you!

I patched in some multi-color floor well lighting inside of the truck so that the driver knows if his demon eyes are on and what they are doing.
The exterior multi-color wheel well lights are on a different controller and need no interior representation...as you can simply stick your head out the window and see what color they are on.

He also had a 12" Kicker L7 in a super custom box under his rear seat....that was hitting said seat and shredding the woofer surround apart....so i removed that and installed our 10" bedlinered sub/box/amp combo and gave him 800w of true power.....it was a much nicer install, gave him so more room under the seat and played the lows perfectly!

Overall, this was a fun, tiring and stressful build; but I'm glad he gave me the opportunity.....this is one of the brightest, most useful builds I've done. Not only does he have plenty of light, but every aspect of the build was purposefully done to provide ample light output in multiple conditions and situations.....plus...it just looks mean as hell!

Enjoy the 250+ photos below!

Minnesota Silverado goes full LED

Client sent me his Chevy Silverado headlights for a slight make-over.
He'd previously purchased some Klearz sidemarker lenses to get rid of the Amber lenses....and then I upgraded the rest of the lights. I replaced everything halogen with LEDs.....we're talking Low Beam, High Beam, Switchback Turn Signals, Fog Light Beam, Brake Lights, Cargo Lights and all Interior Lights....I shipped him a whole gang of LEDs from the dudes over at Diode Dynamics.

For the headlights....something as simple as removing the Amber lenses can make the headlights look dramatically different.....it's crazy!
When you turn on the Highs, Lows and Running lights....ALL of the Profile LED products truly shine! They look great together!

Base Model Camaro is now SS-ish

3/31/2018

This was....uhm.....and interesting last minute build.
Local dealership had a mix-up with a client of theirs. He wanted an SS Camaro...but they didn't have one in stock...so they sold him a base model Camaro and told him they can upgrade the look of it to resemble the SS.....so they added a spoiler, a new hood and then said they'd do some custom lights on it.

I got the call that they need some SS lights upgraded with some color changing options....so I ordered the SS DRL Board upgrades and waited for them to drop off the housings.......which, when I received them, a massive red flag went up.....these aren't SS lights.
The mix-up with the dealership to me was they wanted me to make SS lights out of these Base lights.....and get them done in a day or two.

So the SS lights are completely different internally...in that they have a more centrally located HID projector with a nice factory DRL strip.
So.....I 'could' have built them a set from scratch...but Budget and Time didn't permit....so next best thing......add RGB Multi-Color demon eyes and a Switchback LED strip to these and call it a day.

All-in-All....these do give the lights a different look and they match well with the existing bumper DRL strips.....the added touch of the switchback feature and multi-colored Demon Eyes helps it stand out from the rest of the base model Camaro's......but I feel like the owner will be back for an Actual SS conversion....which we'll post up once we get it hammered out.

Sierra Headlights get the extra touch

3/29/2018

Oh Hey...look! Some GMC Sierra headlights....haven't done a set of these yet :-)

Customer sent in his lights to get the Trax touch.....with his provided Klearz lenses and Profile Halos.

While we don't normally like halos (they typically take away from the look of the headlights when everything is OFF)....we opted to do these because they match the White lenses from Klearz.

We did our Morimoto D2S projector upgrade with CBD adapters, 35w bulbs and hylux ballasts....but this time we did a custom GMC lens etch to match the grill of the truck....subtle touches like this can make/break the build.

We also upgraded the boards with Diode Dynamics switchbacks......trusted and true...best way to achieve a unique look and have other Sierra owners asking where he got the lights simply by turning on his turn signals...

Then we did our RGBWtf Rainbow Unicorn upgrade with the Triple Demon Eye accent lights.

The halos are a different style of LEDs so they are on their own separate controller...but can be the same solid colors as the Demon Eyes...so they can work in conjunction or fully separate. They are RGBWA...so they do multi color, White AND Amber for turn signals.

Then we painted all the internals Gloss Black and swapped the lenses for the Klearz white frosted look.

Gnarly Raptor Gets Even Gnarlier

3/26/2018

Past client and good friend waited EVER so patiently for his headlights to be built for his already gnarly Ford Raptor.
The main issue on these lights is that he actually uses his Raptor for what it's made for......I've received multiple videos/pictures of this Raptor airborne......so I needed to purpose build these lights with a few prerequisites:
Needs more output during city night driving
Needs to compliment what's already done to the truck without going overboard
Needs Strobe Chase Lights integrated in
Needs to handle 100+ mph gnar gnar "hold my beer, we're gon' send it" type of driving

Easy peasy!
So, at the time when I originally started this build, I asked my guys what the most durable projector setup is, and without hesitation they recommended the 'then' Brand New Morimoto MLED projectors.....since they are solid state and fully self contained, these guys should be able to withstand most anything the owner can throw at it! I'm excited to start using LED technology as it should be more reliable than HID....but I've been waiting for this technology to catch up to the actual usable output that HID/Projectors offer....with the MLED it seems to be there.....

I also integrated in quad Sirenet Hyper Strobe Modules (pure white 12 LED). They are activated off of one of his quadrillion switches he has installed inside (ok....it's off the factor upfitter switch....but he's got like 20 switches in this beast). They strobes are linked but the uppers and lowers both strobe at a different signal/pattern....
Now you may be asking "why does he need strobes".....well...when out doing what Raptors do, it gets dusty...and they need chase lights to alert other off-roaders of their presence....and what better way to cut through the dust than some epileptic seizure-inducing hyper bright strobe lights? I mean....he's got some super higher powered LED bars in the rear for the unfortunate vehicles behind him that do the same thing!

That being said....I've supplied this truck with PLENTY (as you can tell) LED Light pods in the past....just never posted anything about it since the owner was the one who fabricated all the mounts and wired everything up....He's got PLENTY of light on this truck....these headlights just help finish it off a bit more!

Black on White will always look good

3/24/2018

Wrapped up another quick set of GMC Sierra headlights....these were more Function Over Form....but with a little bit of visual upgrades.

First off, while these Sierra headlights are $1200 EACH from the dealership...the internals are pretty much junk. The factory 25w HID projectors are better than what most people are used to....but for actual on-road use, they don't put out  a whole lot of light.
So I junked those and swapped in some Morimoto D2S Projectors with 35w D2S Bulbs and Hylux 35w ballasts....this will provide a MUCH cleaner, wider and further output over the stock unit.

Then I upgraded the factory DRL boards, as usual. Normally these are just White....but to make them brighter and cooler, I upgraded the boards to the Diode Dynamic switchback boards...so now they are WHITE for running/DRLs and then AMBER for turn signals.
Also upgraded was the factory turn signal bulb....which is not a switchback bulb as well....so everything internally is either WHITE or AMBER to match each other.

The internal shroud was painted Gloss Black and all three lenses were replaced with White Frosted replacements from Klearz.

135 Pics on how to make a Cowboys Fan Happy

2/19/2018

This was a fun little project.
Client brought in his brand new 2018 Ford F150 to get some custom headlights made and an overall exterior lighting upgrade!

He mentioned he's a big Cowboys fan, since he's from Texas and wanted to bring that into the mix.
He told me to take free-reign on the design aspect of the truck and that's what I did.

Delete all the chrome and go full Two-Tone...Blue and Black!

Smoked the taillights and 3rd Brake Light
Installed the Ford-Specific Morimoto LED Foglights
Dual HID Projector Retrofit with 'Dallas' and 'Cowboys' etched into the lenses.
Full 35w 5000k Morimoto and Hylux HID Upgrade
Quad Multi-Color Demon Eye Accent Lighting
Profile Switchback LED Turn Signals
Interior Demon Eye 'Notification' Floor Accent Lighting

This was my first time doing the new style of Ford headlights...these suckers are huge.....but still barely fit into Recardo DeRange....so that's good.
Did a nice two-tone Matte Black on Factory Ford Blue and the combo couldn't have came out better....super sexy blue color.
The Dual Demon Eyes accent the custom designs Dallas Cowboys logos and then the customer doesn't have a problem seeing which color is on when he's driving because his feet are lit up the same color......even though you should never drive with any other color besides White or Amber *Looks sternly at the audience*

The Morimoto LED foglights cleaned up the rest of the chrome in the front and provided him with much more light to the sides of the truck which help when corning.

Smoking the rear tails and 3rd light finished off the truck and gave it the sleek look the owner really wanted.

Look for this dope truck rollin' around the streets of Boise....it'll be hard to miss!

Just out here making Raptor owners upset

2/18/2018

UGHHH OHHH
What's the sound?
That's the sound of Ford Raptor Owner's getting their Jimmy's Rustled!

So, whenever I get approached with custom lighting jobs, I tend to play Devil's Advocate!
This is a past client that wanted to upgrade the lighting on his Ford F150.

He'd already purchased the Side mirror lighting upgrade kit (2 cheap LED strips), Bed Lighting Strips and some Front Hella Fog Housings.
After expressing interest in what else we could do I upgraded his truck with these:
Rock Light LED Puddle Lights on his mirrors
Quad Switchback LED Pods in his Grill

So, it's interesting to me that even Platinum Ford's don't have more stylish and upgrade side mirrors...they all come with the front facing amber reflector...but nothing is behind it.
So first thing was to cut that apart and install dual LED strips behind it.....one for turn signals and the other for running lights.
Then, whilst I was in there, I installed a super bright low profile LED rock light where the factory puddle light should have been had the mirrors came with it.

He then wanted to install some older fog lights he'd purchased a LONG time again....so after fabricating some mounts for them, I moved on to the front grill
This was fun because I knew some Raptor owner would be pissed....because he's yet another F150 owner that's copying their sacred look of the 3 Amber LEDs in the grill.
So....I switched it up. I went Quad Switchback Pods....this way it'll mimic the look...but offer actual functionality instead of just more amber light.
So now, everything is white and then the outer 2 LEDs turn Amber when a turn signal is applied....pretty nifty!

Moving on to the back....I installed his dual 20" LED strips so he'd have night lights when the truck is on...with a handy switch so that he can operate it whenever he'd like.

Project Dozer has set phasers to stun

1/20/2018

OH MAN

If you've been into my shop anytime in the last year and a half...maybe more....you've definitely seen these lights hanging around.
My homie Lewin needed some refreshed headlights for Project Dozer....his Lifted Dodge Ram truck.
This time, he wanted to go away from the 'subtle' approach and move more towards the "hey, hey you, look at me" lifestyle....not that Dozer doesn't already demand your attention.

Anyways, this project started off with a Version 7 Bi-Xenon HID Projector that got a nice Passive Green Demon Eye Paint Job to get that 'green' look when OFF. Then I added a Multi-Colored Active Demon Eye accent strip in there to show you the kick ass etched 'Trax' logo with hex boarder in ANY color you want....via a Bluetooth controller on his smart phone.

Then we covered ALL that goodness up with a Hydro-graphic dipped digi-camo Apollo shroud that was first painted Green to match his pin-stripe.

Then to be even more obnoxious, we opted to remove the factory turn signal bulb and housing completely and replace it with 3 Morimoto ModPod Switchback LED pods that were coated in the same green color. These bad boys are SUPER bright and what you'll most likely see when he's coming up on your from behind......something something that's what she said......

These lights actually match the truck VERY well for how little amount of green there actually is.....it turned out sick!
My favorite feature is the effect the Active Demon Eyes give off due to the placement of them and the hex border etching....he's now got his very own aurora borealis at the push of a button on his smart phone!

Cali Sierra gets the Trax "Midnight Package"

1/1/2018

Client out of California sent me all his lights from his GMC Sierra to get the Trax Customs 'Midnight Package' Upgrade.....or at least that's what I'm calling it.

He sent me his factory projector headlights, chrome tow mirrors, rear taillights and 3rd brake lights.

HEADLIGHTS
For these, I simply deleted the factory amber lenses, upgraded his turn signals to a switchback version and blacked everything out except the factory clear lenses for the DRLs.

TOW MIRRORS
I cracked these open and upgraded the factory Amber running lights to Profile Switchback White/Amber LED strips....and then put them behind some Klearz Smoked Lenses and upgraded the chrome Upper/Lower covers to some factory Black ABS Plastic Covers.

TAILLIGHTS
Lewin gave these my 'Trax Dark' smoked treatment.....these are your average rattle-can taillights...these bad boys will blend with your factory paint and actually show you the flaws in your factory paint due to the high glossy-ness of the paint on the tails. They still allow 90% of light to pass through...so you shouldn't have any legality issues either.

I'll post pics once they are mounted up on the truck when it's complete.....it's getting fully rebuilt on the suspension side down in Cali currently.

Adding Turn Signal Bolts to a Lexus GS350

12/15/2017

California Client sent in his 2013 Lexus GS350 Projector Headlights for a 'simple' upgrade.
After seeing a video of another owner modifying similar lights, he sent me said video and said "Let's Do It".

So, I cracked these open, figured out the best way to go about it, and made it happen.

Basically, these headlights are fairly complex....they have Lower Dual-Intensity LED DRLs with Driving-Adjust HID Projectors....more than what most people have in most of their newer vehicles.......but one thing it lacks on is actual viewability of the turn signals. The DRLs can sometimes be overpowering and hard for the small Halogen Turn Signal bulb to keep up with.

So I installed 9 high powered Amber LEDs on the circuit board and integrated a switchback module....so not the DRL will cut out and display an amber beam pattern along with the halogen side light for maximum viewability for oncoming traffic.

Easy peasy.....ish.

Ok...the only easy thing here was the sealant for the headlight...I've never opened up a set of lights can had a 100% perfectly clean, un-abused seal channel and have the sealant come out by simply pulling on it....it literally took me 30 seconds to clean the channel completely and twas prepped for reseal......wish ALL my builds would go that way.

Here comes another GMC Sierra Custom Headlight Project!
This one is another great project with the help of Kendall Auto Mall here in Idaho...these guys truly like to offer their clients something only a select dealerships can get nationwide.

Started with a 2017 GMC Denali 2500HD...so the headlights are already better than most....but not quite show-room-ready....that's where we come in.

Blew the OEM headlights apart
Ripped out the factory Amber and Clear Lenses
Painted everything Gloss Black
Upgraded the lenses with Klearz Smoked Triple Lenses
Upgraded the OEM White DRL LEDs to a Switchback Version via Diode Dynamics
Upgraded the OEM Turn Signal to
a Switchback Version via Diode Dynamics
Installed a Triple RGBWtf Rainbow Unicorn Demon Eye via ACL

These will look good on their showroom truck until one lucky customer decides to purchase it!

This bad truck will have a massive lift, huge wheels and tires and a slew of other modifications....so make sure to go down and check it out!

eBay Auto vs Trax Customs Lighting

11/6/2017

Client brought in his sleek Mustang for some much needed lighting upgrades.
He already purchased smoked aftermarket projector housings for the headlights and got some smoked fog lights to go with them....all of which had LED halos installed....but they weren't bright enough.....as you can see from the first few pics. He also couldn't see anything at night, since the aftermarket projectors and halogen combination was worse than his factory lights......so we opened them up and went to work. During the initial photoshoot, you can see where some of the halos went out on me just trying to take pictures..... #ThankseBay

First thing's first....we upgraded the internal projector to an HID version and properly aligned them to give him maximum adjustability as needed.
We then got rid of ALL of the existing poorly lit LED Halos and added Switchback versions with MUUUUCH more light output.
I also added dual linear LED strips to the side of the projectors to accent the internal structure that the aftermarket headlights provided.
On top of all of this I also upgraded his lower turn signal bulb to and LED amber version to jive with the rest of the build.

This Mustang is now super bright when he flicks on his Running Lights...and you won't be wondering which way he's turning either....as he's not got 5 separate LED sections that light up Amber as well.
The last few pics are of just the amount of light output from the halos and turn signals...it's impressive!

Here We Go Again SEMA Building

10/25/2017

As many of you may or may not know....I was burned last year by the SEMA headlight build I did for a local dealership.....which, has made me rethink future sponsorships locally and globally.

I really wasn't sure I wasn't to do another SEMA build, especially after last year....but this one was special.....it wasn't for the same dealership....so I said yes.
My only stipulation was that I wanted to only to builds that were TRULY unique.
Something that might change the game a bit.
The plan with this build was to do something that has never been done before on the platform that was presented.....a 2016 Dodge Ram Megacab.
I wanted to get JW Speaker to send me some Motorcycle LED Headlight pods and I was going to retrofit them into the housings to give them maximum performance and maximum show-style that I've never seen on a Dodge headlight........well...since I was approached in the end of September to do this, we missed the deadline to get the JW sponsorship by a matter of weeks....they are still sending us the products and want to see the project completed...because after hearing my plans, the owner of JW Speaker wanted his Dodge headlights done the exact same way.....funny how truly unique builds can sell themselves once their full potential is met.

The owner of this truck had already picked up a few sponsors for the build to just do a basic retrofit....Diode Dynamics sent Switchback LED Halos and Strips specific to the Dodge headlight, as well as RGBWA Switchback LED DRL Boards and RGBW Demon Eyes. Then we got Klearz manufacturing to send us some Frosted DRL Lenses with Frosted Side Marker Lenses as well.
So, Plan B was to implement all of these products into the build at the VERY last minute if the JW products didn't show up....which they didn't.

I had the local badass Ryan Lewin paint the interior parts factory White and Cobalt Candy Blue.
I assembled all the internal LEDs and wired everything up to make install on the truck (that was still being assembled in another shop a few days before shipping off to Vegas) a snap.
I had a few extra RGB LEDs so I wired up up behind the Frosted Side Market lens to add even more Multi-Color lighting to the mix to make them stand out.
Once everything was sealed up and ready to go, I had them installed on the truck in under an hour to help relieve some stress on the owner/builder.

The amount of light these put off in the White and Amber switchback mode is unreal.....then when you kick on the RGBW accent lighting, these really pop!

This will be in the SOTA wheel booth in the Upper South hall at the SEMA Convention in Las Vegas October 30th through November 3rd; if you happen to be down there.

As for the intended Mega-Build....once I receive the JW Speaker parts, I will be rebuilding his other headlights and making some ripples in the truck market!

Black Rainbow Unicorn Sierra Headlight Upgrade

10/17/2017

Client brought me his truck up from Twin Falls for the RGB-WTF Rainbow Unicorn Lighting upgrade.

Well....that's not what he called it...but that's what I'm labeling it as!

Here is what I did:

Internal Black-Out Paint Everything
Dual Smoked DRL Lenses (Infused Smoked Plastic.....not paint)
D2S Bi-Xenon HID Projector Upgrade
D2S Morimoto 5000k 35w HID Lighting Upgrade
Switchback LED DRL Boards (Diode Dynamics)
Switchback LED Turn Signal Upgrade (Acme)
Unicorn Rainbow RGBwtf Triple Demon Accent Lighting

This was based around the same project I did for Project Murshmello....so the specs are identical....minus the Black Paint and Smoked Lenses....but you get the point.

These lights look sharp and made the truck look much more aggressive to match the styling he had going on with the lift/wheels/tires he had.

This one will be back for some more lighting upgrades in the future!

SLE-to-SLT Tow Mirror Conversion

10/14/2017

Return Instagram Client needed to add even more lighting to his already badass GMC Sierra SLE Truck....so he wanted to upgrade his OEM mirrors.
Easier said than done.

First...he needed Trax's help in creating some switchback LED mirrors with smoked lenses to match the theme he's got.

Next....which turned out to be the difficult part, was to get them installed on his truck.
Since this client lives in Texas, All I could do was make sure these were as Plug-n-Play as possible for a normal truck with LED Mirrors already.
Knowing that his truck wouldn't have the correct wiring for these to simply plug in and function as they should, there was a ton of back-n-forth on coordinating how these were to be wired.
Basically, they needed to run a Parking Light and Turn Signal circuit up into each door....which sucks....but not too horrible of a job for what the outcome of the lighting/product is.

All in all, this was a much needed upgrade on his truck...now he's got fully functional tow mirrors with bright AF switchbacks to match his headlights!

Simple Yet Highly Effective Upgrades on Ram Lights

9/5/2017

Client brought in his 2017 Dodge Ram projector headlights for a bit of a visual and performance boost.

He didn't want to go too crazy on these...just wanted them to be a step-up from what Dodge did....with the potential to upgrade in the future.

We swapped the Amber lens on the side for a DK Mouldz Clear lens; which made the like look completely different but with a very subtle change.

Then we swapped the OEM Amber-only DRL/Turn-Signal boards to the Diode Dynamics White/Amber Switchback LED Boards....so now he'll be one of the few Idahoans running around with White Lower LEDs while everyone else is rockin' Amber.
Something only Dodge guys will notice; but they'll all envy when they see it!
