Client from Florida reached out and wanted a set of 'simple'-ish headlights built for him.
Wanted to lose all the chrome and add a small touch of custom inside.
Here we painted everything black internally, then we painted over the factory Turn Signal area so that we'd have room to place a nice Gloss White 'Denali' logo over.....so since the turn signal area is blacked out, we obviously replaced the factory DRL boards with Switchback Boards so he's got turn signals still.....

These are going on a white truck so the Denali logo will match perfectly and tie everything together up front.

Busted out another set of custom GMC Sierra Projector Headlights for a local dealership here in town.
The last set sold an already tricked out truck as soon as the client saw what the headlights could do....so when they showed another potential client what they could do, he opted to have an identical set built.

So we went with ALL black internals again (Triple Smoked Lenses with Gloss Black Paint)
Then we upgraded the factory Turn Signal bulb with a Switchback LED as well as junked the factory (White Only) DRL LED Boards and swapped in some Switchback LED Boards.
Then to give it that fancy-pants look, threw in some RGBWtf Rainbow Unicorn Triple Demon Eye accents.

These went on the truck and then it shipped out down to Texas.

Lifted Dually has light from up high

Here was a fun little diddy we did on a dually!
Local dealership needed some custom mounting and wiring on a GMC Sierra Dually they had lifted and called us in a pinch.
They had previously setup their client with this GoRhino roof rack and a slew of Rigid Industries Light Pods and Bars. They just needed it call thrown up on too of this massive truck.

Since it was dropped on us over a weekend, Ryan fabricated some mount brackets and mounted that beast of a windsail roof rack up on top precisely over the sun roof and everything else that was up there....then I wired up all the lights.
This was a tricky one as there were so many separate light pods up in one small area, we didn't want 1 million wires running down into the cab....so I wired everything into a single Deutsche plug for easy removal and then ran everything up to a Trigger Controller 4-way wireless control module...so they can hook up additional light bars as needed with ease.
The only other obstacle on this one was that these light bars had accent secondary backlighting (Amber) that needed hooked up.....so I wired them into the parking light circuit that can be manually turned on via the factory lighting switch.

This isn't something most people would typically do, mainly because the hauling capacity of that roof rack is almost maxed out with all the light bars....but it definitely gives it a unique look...that's for sure!

Return client brought in his New GMC Sierra Denali for an audio upgrade.
He listened to one of our demo trucks and was sold on the clean/clear bass output that these pre-packaged systems are putting out and wanted it for his truck.

Again...install on these is pretty straight forward and makes it nice that there is not amp to hide......tricky part on these is getting the wiring lengths just right to tuck nicely inside the box without crimping any of the wires upon final installation....but other than that, these sure are the bee's knees!!

This build right here is what sets us apart from most other shops....in the truest sense.
While this may not be the most epic massive build we're ever done....this shows what we can truly get done when customers trust us and leave it up to the professionals!

This client has been following us for quite some time (since he lives near the shop) and he acquired this GMC Yukon Denali from his 'papa' after his passing. In honor of him, the client wanted to make this Denali stand out among the rest...but make it a nice tribute at the same time. He had a general idea of what he wanted to do; but mainly let us do our thing and couldn't wait to see the final result.

Here is all we did:

De-Chrome ENTIRE vehicle
Tint Windows
Smoke Taillights
Custom Headlights
LED Foglights
LED Light Bar
Custom Front Grill
Lowering Springs
New Wheels
Performance Intake
Painted Brake Calipers

So....this is Phase 1 of this build....the client has already stated he'll be back for me.....but this was the dramatic 'visual' portion of the build....and boy did we acheive that! No other shop in the valley could take a vehicle like this and achieve this look without shipping 1/2 of the parts off for other specialty shops to help.....we facilitated every aspect of this build for the client!

DE-CHROME
This was a massive portion of the build. over 1/2 of the chrome pieces on this car simply DO NOT come off...if they do, you're pretty much assured they'll break and you CAN NOT replace them.....so we did a 50/50 WRAP and PAINT. The parts we could remove, were taking to our homie Lewin to throw down that Gloss Black amazingness....and the rest were wrapped in Gloss Black by the gents over at Eidetic Creations.
In the process of removing ALL of these intricate chrome pieces, we also grenaded the OEM grill and prepped that for paint. We also removed all the factory lighting and either threw some away, prepped for paint or stuck them in the oven for customization....@250 degrees!
We tinted the remainder of the windows to match the rest and give it that sleek murdered look.

SUSPENSION
We installed a 2"/3" Lowering Kit via new springs....this brought the SUV down to the perfect ride height...as they left plenty of room to play with from the factory.
Then we wrapped his nearly new existing tires around his new 22" Dub wheels....which fit perfectly with the overall look of the build we had envisioned!
While we were in there messing with the suspension, we remove the brake assemblies and coated them in a nice hotrod Red brake caliper paint....so they'll stick out through the new wheels and give it that slight accent color that's deserving of this menacing beast!

LIGHTS
The client knew he wanted custom headlights....but in a pinch I couldn't give him the full meal deal of what could be done.....so we settled on 'do what you can in as little time as possible'....and that's what we did.
I split open the headlights and fully blacked out everything. There was some intricate masking involved because GMC actually has a nice little Carbon Fiber panel inside...which is not removable...but I wanted to keep it. The memorial portion of this build was to be a surprise to his G-Ma and recreate his PaPa's business logo and discretely place it somewhere few would notice without it being pointed out.....what better place to do this than INSIDE the headlights.
I had the gents over at Eidetic recreate this old logo from a picture....then I placed it inside the the high beam bucket and it blends in nicely! The client also asked for a some subtle 'Hustle' texts.....as that's how he got to where he is today....so a nice small Matte Black on Gloss Black combo hides it perfectly!
Whilst I was in there, i also threw in some Red Passive Demon Eye paint....so at the right angle, this beast looks pissed off!
For the foglights, we replaced them with our Morimoto XB LED Fog Assemblies.
The Rear taillights got the "trax dark" smoked and the front grill got a Baja Designs 30" Squadron light bar!

This was one of those projects where we touched about every inch of this thing and it truly shows.....it completely changed the look of this ride. So much so, Ryan didn't really want to give it back....and while it was getting the final touches in the shop, NUMEROUS clients offered to take ownership of it before giving it back to the actual owner......which means we must have did something right! Even after the fact, we didn't put our logo on this car and we are STILL getting people saying that they spotted it in the wild and thought "I bet them Trax boys did that thing"

This was such a fun build.....can't wait to get it back for Phase 2!

Local Dealership gets another gnarly set of lights

Here comes another GMC Sierra Custom Headlight Project!
This one is another great project with the help of Kendall Auto Mall here in Idaho...these guys truly like to offer their clients something only a select dealerships can get nationwide.

Started with a 2017 GMC Denali 2500HD...so the headlights are already better than most....but not quite show-room-ready....that's where we come in.

Blew the OEM headlights apart
Ripped out the factory Amber and Clear Lenses
Painted everything Gloss Black
Upgraded the lenses with Klearz Smoked Triple Lenses
Upgraded the OEM White DRL LEDs to a Switchback Version via Diode Dynamics
Upgraded the OEM Turn Signal to a Switchback Version via Diode Dynamics
Installed a Triple RGBWtf Rainbow Unicorn Demon Eye via ACL

These will look good on their showroom truck until one lucky customer decides to purchase it!

This bad truck will have a massive lift, huge wheels and tires and a slew of other modifications....so make sure to go down and check it out!

Rough Country's 3.5in Lift Kit offers aggressive good looks at an incredible value. This allows our client to take his truck to new heights with this excellent option for GM HD Models.

This kit features a set of high-quality, tubular Upper Control Arms with a reinforced gusset plate and Clevite rubber bushings for enhanced durability. These arms are designed to promote a factory-like geometry by keeping the ball joint at optimum angles after lifting. Busted these out for a client in California really quick while he was on vacation.
He sent me his GMC Sierra headlights and unfortunately one of the mounting tabs broken due to improper packing methods....but I repaired that enough for him to be able to mount it again.

This was a fairly simple mod....consisting of a Full Black Internal Paint job and Switchback LED Turn Signals.

The owner then painted his front chrome grill black to make a very dramatic difference!

JK......He's been waiting on me.....but we finally got it in and knocked it out!

2016 GMC Denali with already a TON of mods on it .....talkin' Cognito Suspension lift, Specialty Forged Wheels, Amp Research Steps, Massive Turbo Upgrade.....now it's time to finish off the exterior with full custom lights!

Here is what we crammed into here:

Headlights:

This was a fun one.
Started with the mirrors......never worked on GMC Mirrors...and after some carefully frustrating minutes I got them stripped down and ready to go.
I removed the old Single Intensity Amber LEDs and upgraded them to a switchback (white/Amber) version....and then got rid of the Amber-Tinted Lens and replaced it with a clear lens.

Moving on to the headlights.....nothing is GMC anymore in there....except the outer internal shroud and front lens.
Upgraded the projectors to a MUCH better Bi-xenon projector with my logo etched onto the lens and a custom bracket to adapt it to the GMC mounting location.
Then I upgraded the OEM HIDs (25w) to an aftermarket setup (35w)....which will help the owner see at night since the front windshield is tinted!!
Then I removed the OEM Single Intensity White DRL boards and installed some switchback boards....as well as the OEM Amber turn signal for a switchback version as well.
Before installing the frosted white lenses over all 3 of these locations, I also installed the RGBWtf LEDs to give the lights a Gnarly Rainbow Unicorn Triple Demon Accent.
The outer shroud got a nice coat of gloss black to tie everything together on the truck.

Next up were the foglights....These were a Mutha-F'n Pain!
They fought me the entire time but after a GOOD chunk of a day, i got them looking exactly how I in visioned them to...and performing up to the standards the company holds them to.
I had to fabricate a gnarly beefy bracket to support this massive beast of a light.....where 99% of builders/owners would throw in a simple led pod and use brackets pre-fabricated for the OEM mounts.....I chose a light pod not normally used due to the massive size.....so this was custom fit and I do not recommend this mod be done by anyone without experience.
These big guys barely fit...but provide JUST enough room to make small alignment tweaks to dial in the output....and they look as if they were meant to be where they are....which was the plan.

Last but not least.....underbody accent lighting.
We decided to go with two led pucks for each wheel well so as to provide for complete even coverage....the rears tucked up nice and out of the way....but the front liners were completely different....so those are able to be seen without cranking your neck....which isn't ideal...but still works.
I also ripped out the lame Amp Research step lights and replace each of the four with higher powered pods as well....this gives this beast of a truck a total of 12 underbody rock lights to see....the uhm....asphalt and water puddles better....at night.....because #FreeAndy

This truck is a beast....it looks gnarly, it sounds gnarly....and now everyone will be able to see it coming during the day and night.

Take this GMC Denali for example....needed a simple cab light installation....while it may not be a simple install....the aftereffects are definitely minimal...yet totally noticeable with these smoked Recon cab leds.

Yukon Denali - Projector Retrofit

Been working on this project for over 3 months......not continuously, but I had a split second to 'retro' the projectors on the car (while it was here getting some crap ballasts replaced) then fast forward 2 months and I'm finally ready to complete the project....this is what went in:

3" FX-R Projector with 'Trax' logo etched into the lenses
Fake 2.5" Projector retrofitted in OEM turn signal spot
Dual Apollo V2 Shrouds
Dual Plasma Halos (Yukon Direct Fit kit)
Morimoto 35ive D2S Ballasts
Osram Xenarc Bulbs
Switchback Bulb in OEM location (behind fake Projector)
Custom Fiberglassed Turn Signal/Running LEDs in OEM Side location
Matte Black Internal Paint

I installed HIDs into this car back in March-ish this year, and after a few months my client was wanting better lights....what better way than upgrading to Projectors! He wanted to take it to a different level than a simple retro. He wanted to get rid of the 'ribs' that normally surround the Denali upgraded headlights, so we went with a regular Yukon aftermarket light to clean up some of the lines. With that out of the way, he wanted the 'dual' look of high-end cars, so we went with a fake projector up top. Normally with fake projectors, they are just that....fake, and there to look OEM....not perform. Well, this one was different. I did the normal mounting (just aesthetic....not aligning them to output)...and once installed on car and SUPER bright switchback bulb behind the lens, I noticed an issue.....this thing PUTS OUT LIGHT....normally it'd be just a good indicator light...but the Driving Lights output light, and by that, I mean throws light a hundred or more feet.....so that may be an issue down the road, as I've never ran into something like this...but the customer and I agreed that he'd run around with them like this for now and see if issue pop up...if so, we'll simply bypass the running light portion into the High Beam setting. Crazy cool that it does it, but not necessary in my mind. Moving on, my client wanted to do something with the boring side mini light....I suggested a cool switchback led pod of some sort and with the mention of fiberglass, he was hooked....so I fabricated a custom 'ribbed' mount and went from there.
After everything was done, threw some matte black paint down and she was good to go.
These turned out SICK and are among the coolest looking lights I've done so far.

Denali HID Action

Local client brought in his 2008 GMC Denali for some HID lighting. He bought some JDM Tuning HIDs, which I've had decent success with in the past. The harnesses they included were a bit different then I'm used to. Instead of an H13 Bi-Xenon Harness, they sent a regular harness (which wasn't really regular by my standards) and an H13 Integration Harness.....interesting, adds more wiring, but works if you're trying to not stock so many different harnesses...this would allow you to keep stocking regular harnesses, and then different Bi-Xenon integration harnesses per bulb type....make sense from a manufacturers standpoint, but not an installers.

Anyways, dual HID kits fired up just fine and were 5 times as bright as OEM.....perfect!
