So, I was lucky enough last year to assist in making items for IR208 and loosely planning/assisting in the shows organization a little bit.
This year, the show was put on by a different group and introduced as FormFest.
I was balls-deep in the planning on this one and that alone consumed over 2 months of my life....fun experience, but exhausting.
ALL that aside, I still wanted to make some cool stuff for display and awards.
First up, my Trax Customs Best Electronics Award. I had this Elemental Designs woofer sitting around for at least 8 years....might as well make a trick box and use that as my award....some design and fiberglass later and Blamoh!!! Pretty cool little award.
Next was the Loudest Exhaust award....even though I wasn't sponsoring this event, I'm the one that brought up the idea, so I opted to make the award. Took a perfectly good exhaust and HACK the crap outta it and decided on this layout. I'm not a welder, but I'm a damn good grinder.....that's what I keep telling myself.
After that, I needed to take a good look at my STACKS of LED Halos and other lights that i show customers one-by-one pulling them out of my tool box....so, I made a display that's fully operational that shows the difference from eBay Crap compared to what Trax Customs can offer. Something like this has been needed in my shop for years! Check that off the list!
The DAY before the show....when most are cleaning their cars and doing the final touches before the show....my Caffeine-Strung-Out self was custom fabricating this weird trike thingy. It was previously put together about 50%, and I wanted it done for the show....so I started cutting, welding and painting!
This thing turned out pretty insane for a 1-day build.
