This one is a 2018 Chevy Tahoe.
Customer Issue: I can't see anything after it disappears in front of my bumper!
Solution: Add a front camera to assist
Originally going to be another Rear View Mirror swap....after determining that wasn't happening, we opted to go with the brand new PAC-Audio GM 8" screen integration module and EchoMaster GM Specific Front Camera.
This very slick Pac-Audio unit ties into the factory 8" screen and main brain unit and gives the owner the ability to add a front camera, aftermarket rear camera / or keep the factory camera, as well as integrate side view cameras as well....so this system may be updated in the future because....well...why not!
At the touch of a button on the screen, the user can hack into the factory display and turn on the factory backup camera or the brand new front camera.
If they don't want to mess with that, they can do NOTHING and just drive. When your driving initially after start, the front camera turns on and stays on until you reach 10 mph or greater.
From there, it won't bother you in stop-n-go traffic unless you want it to...all you have to do to activate the front camera while driving is turn the steering wheel more than 15 degrees while under 10 mph and it'll automagically turn back on! SUPER handy!
ON top of this mod, we also added a Heads Up Display unit.
While not the exact unit I would have chose, budget permitted we go with this unit....but it still got the Trax Customs treatment....you won't see any wires hanging on the dash or in the footwell area....everything is tucked nicely out of site and hidden from view....all you see is the MPH, RPMs, Voltage, Degrees and much more in front of you.
